Despite being tight-lipped about the aftermath of a robbery of a large sum of US dollars in cash, President Cyril Ramaphosa has conceded that he would fall in line with the ANC's step aside policy should he be criminally charged.

He sidestepped dozens of questions from parliamentarians in the Presidency budget vote debate and, later from journalists on details around the incident that has led to criminal charges being laid against him by former spy boss Arthur Fraser.

"I would like due process to unfold in this matter," the president responded every time he was asked a question on the issue.
