Acting Public Protector Kholeka Gcaleka's subpoena for President Cyril Ramaphosa to respond to questions about the Phala Phala burglary has placed him under renewed pressure in a matter he has so far provided few answers.
In what can be viewed as a slight reprieve for Ramaphosa, he will not be expected to appear before Gcaleka to comply with her subpoena.
In a statement on Tuesday, she said she would subpoena the president to respond to questions about the alleged cover-up of the burglary at his Limpopo game farm, Phala Phala.
