Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has slammed the West for putting "pressure" on African countries and other nations to join anti-Russia sanctions amid Russia's ongoing war in Ukraine.
Lavrov claimed that the West had no "respect" for the countries' sovereignty and did not believe in democracy.
He spoke in Pretoria on Monday, during a joint media briefing following a bilateral meeting with International Relations Minister Naledi Pandor. Pandor described the meeting as "frank".
