Russian-born Lithuanian actress, Ieva Andrejevaite, who allegedly made a bogus asylum claim after being refused entry into South Africa in order to attend a series of parties thrown by billionaire Rob Hersov, has filed a court application in a bid to return home.
Andrejevaite has approached the Western Cape High Court in an attempt to compel the home affairs department to return her passport, and to allow her to leave the country.
Netwerk24 reported that the application is being opposed by the director-general (DG) and the minister of home affairs.
