Embattled police Crime Intelligence (CI) head Peter Jacobs – who faces suspension over serious misconduct allegations – has taken his fight to the halls of the Gauteng High Court in Pretoria.

Jacobs, alongside five high-ranking officers under his command, are at the centre of a leadership purge in the division, rooted in claims that they unlawfully used the division's Secret Services Account – a shadowy slush fund used to bankroll covert operations – to purchase Covid-19 personal protective equipment.
