Former deputy secretary-general of the ANC Youth League (ANCYL) and current Limpopo MEC for Sport, Arts and Culture Thandi Moraka has taken News24 to court on an urgent basis over allegations that she received kickback cash from a known Eskom slush fund.

The article, published last week as part of News24's ongoing extensive investigation into The Eskom Files, reveals that Moraka benefitted from at least R170 000 from Babinatlou Business Services – a slush fund and money laundering entity that enriched former senior Eskom officials, according to law firm Bowmans.
