City Power chief executive Mongezi Ntsokolo is facing a fresh battle over the findings of a forensic investigation commissioned by his former employer, Eskom, in 2018.

Ntsokolo, who was appointed to the top job at the beleaguered City Power in April this year, was in 2018, while at Eskom, subjected to a forensic investigation by Ubuntu Business Advisory and Consulting (UBAC) over several allegations made by an anonymous tipster.

On Friday, City Power spokesperson Isaac Mangena confirmed Ntsokolo had been suspended in connection with the allegations against him investigated by the power utility nearly three years ago.
