A company given a tender to supply furniture to the Wilge housing project seemingly colluded with senior Eskom officials to excessively inflate their prices for pool tables, desks and more by over 400%, scoring at least R3 million in profits.

The tender, meant to benefit black women-owned and black youth-owned businesses in Mpumalanga, was instead manipulated and the company given the contract to supply the furniture, Moremantsa, seemingly took liberties with their pricing.
