Former Eskom chief procurement officer Solly Tshitangano approved a request from the power utility to continue using law firms from its old panel six months before he joined Eskom.

In his capacity as National Treasury’s chief director for supply chain management governance, compliance and monitoring, Tshitangano in June 2018 approved an R80-million, six-month expansion request Eskom had filed seeking permission to allow law firms from its expired panel of attorneys to finalise existing instructions.
