Abram Masango, who was one of the most senior executives at Eskom and who oversaw the Kusile mega build project, wanted a house in Jamaican Music Street, Pretoria East, and a Mercedes-Benz worth R600 000 from companies that did business with Eskom.

And while he was allegedly soliciting a deposit for the house in Mooikloof Estate, a company in which he had an interest was busy scoring millions of rand thanks to contracts to provide transport for workers at the Kusile power station - which he oversaw.

This according to documents in the Eskom Files, a trove of thousands of emails, forensic reports, bank statements and other source documents obtained by News24.
