No transcript or recording of a controversial call between President Cyril Ramaphosa and Russian President Vladimir Putin exists, according to an affidavit by a senior official in the office of the Presidency.
News24 filed a Promotion of Access to Information (PAIA) request earlier this month after Ramaphosa posted on Twitter that he had spoken with Putin, thanking him for taking his call two hours after the Kremlin had posted its version of the call.
The two accounts did not appear to be aligned.
