The graft-busting Investigating Directorate (ID) has taken over three corruption probes into the Crime Intelligence Unit, including the dubious procurement of a R45-million spying device – a deal which could prove the death knell of Khehla Sitole’s career as top cop. 

By the time Sitole took office in November 2017, a company called I-View Integrated Services - and the services they "provided" to the police's Crime Intelligence division - was in the crosshairs of the Independent Police Investigating Directorate (IPID).
