Axed top cop Jeremy Vearey has vowed to support his brothers in arms – Anti-Gang Unit (AGU) boss Andre Lincoln and former Crime Intelligence chief Peter Jacobs – whose jobs are on the line.

"I am still committed to the assistance of Lincoln and Jacobs, despite the fact that my dismissal is an attempt to sabotage that relationship as I will not be able to represent them [in their disciplinary woes] as an employee," he said.

Vearey faced misconduct charges over a series of Facebook posts, in which he was accused of tarnishing the image of national commissioner Khehla Sitole.
