Rural villages in fear after lion’s sighting

Msinga residents are in fear after a male lion was allegedly spotted roaming around Mashunka area over the weekend.

While authorities have not yet confirmed if it was indeed an ibhubesi, a Ladysmith resident Fikile Mabaso-Ndlovu said she also saw it when she was on her way to a funeral in Msinga on Sunday.

She was adamant that she had seen what a lion looks like on television and in newspapers so she could instantly recognise one in real life.
