Businesses in some parts of KwaZulu-Natal have been left reeling due to the loss of infrastructure, revenue and goods after the recent heavy rains.
The owner of Tugela Ferry Leisure Resort Trevor Mvelase in Msinga, whose business was flooded, said the cost of damage to the business is estimated over R400 000.
“The wooden structure houses at our premises were badly affected. The entire restaurant was waterlogged. We saved whatever we could, but it was impossible to remove everything as the entire building was waterlogged.
