THE quiet stillness of the forest is broken by screams and screetches – often not from that of the forest’s natural inhabitants, but from much larger flying objects – adventure seekers zip-lining from tree to tree across the forest canopy.
Armed with plenty of courage, we are set to take on Stormsriver Adventures’ Tsitsikamma Canopy Tour – a unique eco-wilderness adventure that takes place in the magnificent Tsitsikamma indigenous rainforest on the Garden Route.
The first of its kind in Africa, the canopy tour involves traversing from one platform to another along a steel cable suspended up to 30 metres above the forest floor.
