ECONOMIC Freedom Fighters (EFF) uMgungundlovu regional-secretary David Msomi has vowed that the party will make sure that no “racist” Clicks store will be operational in the region until Saturday.

Yesterday, the country’s third biggest party embarked on a nationwide protest demanding that Clicks stores shut down because of a shampoo advert which depicted black women’s hair as “dry” and “damaged” and white women’s hair as “normal” or “flat”. Clicks stores at Liberty Midlands Mall, Cascades Centre, Victoria Road Shopping Centre and Scottsville Mall were operating until the red beret brigade got there, singing and chanting slogans to force them to close.

Msomi said shops not closing showed that the health and beauty retailer sees nothing wrong with the advert.
