THE families of the two police officers who were killed on Saturday night in the Taylor’s Halt area, Pietermaritzburg, are having a tough time dealing with their deaths.
Sergeant Makhosaze Mdlangathi (33), of the Plessislaer police station, and Sergeant Mfikelwa Mtolo (36), of the Richmond police station, were ambushed and killed by unknown gunmen.
No arrests have yet been made, and sources close to the investigation said that they are still trying to determine the motive. It could have something to do with their personal lives or related to their jobs.
