A SECURITY officer from Mtokwane location in Willowvale, Nonzwakazi Mgudlwa, has released her new EP, titled Phakama Nkosi Yezulu, consisting of gospel songs.

Mgudlwa said working as the supervisor for a security company could not hold back her dream of becoming a musician.

She said she started singing professionally in 2014, when she released her first album, consisting of 10 songs, titled Uma Kutshon’ilanga.

“In 2015, I started concentrating on releasing singles until last year. Then, this year, I released an EP which has four songs.

“Even though I am working as a security officer, I am trying by all means to ensure that I balance my work. I only focus on my music during weekends. To work under pressure had taught me to be more focused, as I am still looking forward to being a well- known musician,” said Mgudlwa.

She said she grew up singing gospel, then she took a decision to preach the word of God and bring back hope to those who have lost hope, using her voice.
