BCM FC booked themselves a berth in the next round of Nedbank Cup after they overcame Bisho Stars 5-4 on penalties, after a goalless draw at Motherwell NU 2 Stadium on Saturday.

Earlier, BCM won their first game against SUBS 2-1 in front of a fully packed stadium. In another entertaining game, Lion City succumbed 1-0 to Bisho Stars.

The two victorious teams then played a high-quality match.

BCM appeared likely to score an opening goal but Stars’ defenders were equal to the task.

Stars also had glorious opportunities but their efforts could not bring good results. Neither side could find the back of the net.

Thereafter, the game was decided on a penalty shoot-out, with BCM scoring all their penalties to win the match. – SELBY MADIKANE
