Don’t mistreat ill people

accreditation

HOW long will it take people to stop discriminating against people with chronic diseases? The minute they see you at the clinic or hospital queuing towards the chronic diseases consultation room they assume, or conclude, you are dying or you are HIV-positive. They go home - they can’t wait to spread the word about what they saw. When will the stigma towards HIV-positive people end?

At least they know their status and are controlling it. I am living in the dark not knowing mine and only because I have never been sick. Some of us never even have the courage to get tested.

Imagine the kind of stress these people live under. Let’s educate ourselves and be more supportive. Let’s give HIV positive people a positive life and start giving hope. You never know, you might just save a life in the process.
