Two people have been killed and three others injured in a shooting incident at Ruth Court in Manenberg, Cape Town, according to Western Cape police.
The shooting happened in the early hours of Tuesday morning around 01:40, provincial police spokesperson Sergeant Noloyiso Rwexana said.
"According to reports, two unidentified suspects wearing balaclavas entered the house and opened fire on the victims," she said.
Rwexana said two men, aged 22 and 25, were fatally wounded, while two women and a man – aged between 27 and 48 – had been wounded.
The injured victims were taken to a medical facility for treatment.
She said police were following up on leads in order to bring the perpetrators to book.
