Cape Town - About 50 people braved the cold on Saturday to take to the streets of Cape Town in a march calling for an end to women and child abuse.
Arranged by The EssBee Foundation and social activist Brett Steensma, the #StopAbuse campaign saw Capetonians march from Keizergracht Street to Parliament, carrying posters reading "Abusers are Trash" and "End Violence".
Founding director and chairperson of The EssBee Foundation Shenai Bridglall said the collective action was to act as a clarion call for people to "do something about the scourge of violence facing women and children.
