When the ANC's national executive committee (NEC) meets on the weekend, Ace Magashule will not be a sitting official of the party. 

The ANC's national working committee (NWC) announced on Tuesday that all party members facing criminal charges, who have not stepped aside, will be suspended.

Magashule is expected to receive a letter from his deputy, Jessie Duarte, to enforce his suspension, given his resistance to step aside.
