During her first media briefing in her new portfolio, Tourism Minister Patricia de Lille shot down the controversial Tottenham Hotspur sponsorship deal. De Lille said she wrote to the South African Tourism board advising it to stop the deal immediately.

A confidential settlement deal has been reached between the Public Investment Corporation (PIC) and IT group AYO just two weeks into a long-awaited court case. The PIC, a state-owned asset manager which handles government pension funds, sought to claw back AYO shares it bought for R4.3 billion.

Eight days after she was kidnapped by three men in Gqeberha, Riana Pretorius made an emotional return home in the early hours of Friday morning. Hawks spokesperson Yolisa Mgolodela confirmed that the 26-year-old biokineticist was found unharmed.
