The State was blindsided when it heard that the Anti-Gang Unit's (AGU) Ashley Tabisher was released on bail in a high court application.

Tabisher is a co-accused in the case involving the murder of senior AGU detective, Charl Kinnear, and the attempted murder of lawyer, William Booth.

He faces charges of corruption and money laundering for allegedly agreeing to accept money and a cellphone to provide information to co-accused Nafiz Modack.
