ANC moots sweeping shifts to revive limping economy, draft policy document reveals

The ANC has set out its version of a perfect social compact, which would see the government, business, labour and civil society all work in tandem to reduce poverty and inequality. 

In its economic policy discussion document, released ahead of the ANC's policy conference in July, the party details an envisioned social compact similar to what President Cyril Ramaphosa announced in February in his State of the Nation Address.
