Cape Town - Three suspects accused of mugging paramedics while they were treating a patient in Khayelitsha are expected to apply for bail.

The suspects were arrested on Thursday.

The bail hearing has been set for January 6.

The accused will remain in custody until then.

News24 reported last week that Emergency Medical Services paramedics were robbed of their cellphones on December 20 at 07:30, while responding to a call in Harare, Khayelitsha.

Toy guns were allegedly used to intimidate the paramedics.
