The red berets have followed all the processes to stage a peaceful protest outside Brackenfell High School on Friday, Western Cape EFF chairperson Melikhaya Xego maintained.

"We are going to Brackenfell and all those who didn't apply to protest – black or white - must not be there," he told News24.

"Especially those carrying firearms – we won't fold our arms and pray. We will defend ourselves."
