Two members of the Ministerial Advisory Committee (MAC) on Covid-19 say the high infection rate, coupled with the low hospital bed capacity, could be reason enough to move to an adjusted Level 3 lockdown.

"We just want some urgency now, with these 8 000 plus cases, we want to look at putting the country on adjusted Level 3, hopefully as soon as possible," a senior insider told News24 on Thursday.
