Although wearing a mask is mandatory under the new disaster management regulations, you will only get into trouble if you fail to comply with a law enforcement officer's instructions to wear one.

On Monday evening, President Cyril Ramaphosa announced that the country would move back to a Level 3 lockdown in response to the increase in Covid-19 infections in the country over the festive season.
