The ongoing conflict between Police Minister Bheki Cele and national police commissioner General Khehla Sitole may place the South African Police Service in limbo and affect crime fighting negatively.

These were the sentiments of Dr Guy Lamb, a criminologist at the Department of Political Science at Stellenbosch University, who has been following the growing tensions between the political head and operational head of the police.
