"I am 29 years and I have never had an ID," says Ms T*, a Khayelitsha mother of two who is wondering how to feed her children after their child support grant was cancelled at the end of December.

The 29-year-old Khayelitsha woman is struggling to get an identity document (ID) from the Department of Home Affairs, and endures a seemingly endless shuttle between Sassa and the department.
