Cape Town – Firefighters were battling a vegetation fire on mountain slopes above Hout Bay on Sunday afternoon, a city of Cape Town official said.
The fire, which started around 13:00, posed no danger to homes at this stage, said the city's safety and security director, Richard Bosman.
Two helicopters were water-bombing inaccessible areas on the Karbonkelberg mountainside.
