Cigarette tycoon Kyle Phillips has hired attorney Ian Levitt to represent him in the police's ongoing inquest investigation into the death of his girlfriend, Maja Janeska, who he says shot herself while he was brushing his teeth.
In a brief statement to police, Phillips - who is a co-director of Adriano Mazzoti's Carnilinx cigarette company - said he had been standing in his en-suite bathroom when he heard a noise in the couple's bedroom.
It was there that he found Janeska dead from a gunshot wound to the head.
