Court orders man to share 50% of partnership's assets with evicted ex-girlfriend

"It is all in one pot, my baby, I will never leave you in the cold."

These were the soothing words of a Cape Town man, who later evicted his partner and the mother of his three children, saying she could only leave with what she had bought. 

They had been in a romantic relationship for 17 years, had upgraded from one house to another, and she gave him all the money she earned from her small business.
