Every province has reached the peak of the fourth wave of Covid-19 infections, with Gauteng now exiting the fourth wave.

This was announced by Health Minister Joe Phaahla during a digital briefing on Friday.

Phaahla said that despite concerns that the festive season would increase the spread of the highly transmissible Omicron variant, cases had shown a sustained decrease over the past few weeks.
