The Western Cape education department (WCED) is preparing to roll out vaccine advocacy training for educators.

The department says the rollout is a collaboration with the provincial health department to provide training for Life Orientation and other teachers.

The WCED's director of communications, Bronagh Hammond, says the programme is to create awareness around the vaccine and address any concerns and myths falsely presented on various platforms.
