President Cyril Ramaphosa might have to spend an extra day at the State Capture Commission to answer specific questions on his party’s cadre deployment policy – if the Democratic Alliance has its way.

DA leader John Steenhuisen said the party was awaiting an opinion from its lawyers on the matter, after Ramaphosa implied that Western Cape Premier Alan Winde and the DA employed similar methods of political appointments in government to the ANC.

Steenhuisen, who attended the first day of Ramaphosa’s testimony in Braamfontein before he had to leave to deal with resignations from the parties in Cape Town, said the second day of Ramaphosa’s testimony was more robust than the first.
