The motivation to see the ANC toppled from power in 2024 dominated the celebratory ceremony of a coalition agreement among the DA, ActionSA, COPE, IFP, FF Plus and the ACDP. 

The six political parties partnered together to lead various hung municipalities across the country for the next five years.
