Nafiz Modack sat attentively in the Blue Downs Regional Court on Monday, listening to his co-accused Zane Kilian's application to get a copy of everything the police took off his confiscated cellphones after he was arrested.

Wearing a K-way jacket and blue jeans, with a green scarf folded into a point at the nape of his neck, he was first to file into the heavily guarded court dock, with an exercise book at the ready to take notes.

He was followed by his co-accused rugby player-turned debt collector Zane Kilian, security consultant Jacques Cronje, car salesman Ricardo Morgan, and Anti-Gang Unit member Ashley Tabisher.
