The ANC's integrity commission in Gauteng is facing firm resistance as some party leaders in the province say its findings "don't make sense".

News24 understands that the integrity commission found that presidential spokesperson Khusela Diko ought to have declared her husband's financial interest with ANC leaders.

She was said to have hit back in a meeting with them on Monday, questioning the recommendation, and arguing that it had never been done before in the ANC, according to a party insider familiar with the matter.
