President Cyril Ramaphosa defended former health minister Zweli Mkhize.

He said even though Mkhize was implicated in the Special Investigating Unit's (SIU) report into Digital Vibes for failing to perform his oversight duties, and was clearly conflicted given the irregular appointment of his close associates, his other services to the country deserved praise.

Ramaphosa was giving a post-manifesto launch address to the media at Luthuli House on Wednesday evening.
