Doctor very keen to be vaccinated, says it's 'a bulletproof vest in a gunfight'

An ear, nose and throat (ENT) specialist says he will remember the day he gets the Covid-19 vaccine as it is "the only escape from this nightmare".

"To me, vaccination will be like wearing a parachute in an airplane. A new beginning. A safety net, a seat-belt in a car crash, a bulletproof vest in a gunfight," Dr Martin Young told News24 this week.

"There will be tears."
