He was grabbed half-naked and barefoot at his home, driven to his workplace and was forced to loot R140 000 from the safe.

This is the version of events from an Eastern Cape Post Office branch manager who is one of more than a dozen managers abducted from their homes and used by robbers to syphon money from post offices in the province since 2019. 

This as the SA Post Office in the Eastern Cape is under siege by what is said to be a well-organised syndicate targeting its branches.
