In what is a crunch election for the DA, the party is hedging its bets on voters lending it their support based on what it considers a demonstrable track record of service delivery compared to the ANC. And get ready to hear the phrase "The DA get things done" ad nauseam, writes parliamentary reporter Jan Gerber.


DA leader John Steenhuisen and some MPs campaigned in Stellenbosch on Thursday with some DA locals, notably mayor Gesie van Deventer, who was aiming for a second term carrying the mayoral chain of the historic Cape Winelands town.
