The murder of two people on the farm Pampoenkraal in rural eMkhondo, Mpumalanga, was not an "isolated incident", the leader of the local farmworkers' association Bongani Hlatshwayo has said.

Eight people made their second appearance in the Piet Retief Magistrate's Court in eMkhondo on Thursday for the kidnapping, murder and attempted murder of Sifiso Joseph Twala, his brother, Christopher Sthembiso Twala, and Musa France Nene on the farm in August 2020.

Three of the accused, Werner Potgieter, Cornelius Greyling and Zenzele Yende, were previously arrested for the murder of brothers Mgcini and Zenzele Coka, who were gunned down during an altercation on Pampoenkraal on 9 April this year.
