Evangelist and missionary, Dr Peter Hammond, has defended the KwaSizabantu Mission in the wake of a hard-hitting News24 documentary – which he described as "a hostile horror film".

Defending the church, Hammond claimed the documentary of the 50-year-old church, produced over seven months, was a "smear campaign".
