EXCLUSIVE | 'Retract or else': Embattled Western Cape speaker threatens DA with court action

The embattled Speaker of the Western Cape parliament, Masizole Mnqasela, has sent a letter of demand to the DA's top structures, instructing them to retract his termination or face court action.

The court threat comes against the backdrop of the DA filing a motion of no confidence against Mnqasela on Friday.

On Monday afternoon, the DA terminated Mnqasela's membership, saying he made disparaging remarks about the party at a media briefing over the weekend.
