The police officer charged with corruption for allegedly receiving R500 000 from self-proclaimed prophet Shepherd Bushiri has been suspended for two months without pay.

She was also ordered to undergo counselling for corruption following an internal disciplinary hearing.

Brigadier Rosy Resandt, who is stationed at the national Organised Crime Unit, was arrested alongside her husband - Clifford Cornelius Resandt who was the head of security for Bushiri - in December.
